Ann Janssen (BA (Econ) LLB (Hons) MBA (Dist))
Ann Janssen is a Solicitor and the CEO of Legalmart.corp Pty Ltd. Ann has been a Solicitor for 12 years and had her own successful legal practice for 9 of those 12 years. During this time, Ann
saw the need for less expensive, but still good quality legal services to be offered to individuals and businesses.

With this in mind, Legalmart was developed, which uses the power of the Internet to deliver convenient and less expensive law direct to people from their own PCs. Many legal services are fairly standard, and part of any legal service takes administrative skills (such as making phone calls, sending off simple letters, and inputting information). By only getting the Lawyer to do the difficult parts of the legal service, and empowering the customer to do the administrative parts, the customer saves a lot of money, while still having the comfort of knowing that he/she is not alone.
Ann has an Arts degree majoring in Economics, a Law degree with Honours and a Masters of Business Administration. After graduating in the early 1980s, she worked for Allen, Allen & Hemsley, Solicitors (formerly Feez Ruthning) in Brisbane. Subsequently Ann held a Senior management position with the Commonwealth government Department of Administrative services where she was one of the key figures leading the implementation of privatization of this Department through the mid to late 1980s.
She then returned to the law and established her own successful legal practice (Janssen & Janssen, Solicitors) in 1990. In 1996 she commenced studies for her Master of Business Administration and was President of the MBA Association in 1998/99. Ann has spoken at Universities, marketing groups and
law firms on the need to embrace the Internet to deliver legal services. She has also published several articles in various legal
magazines and journals.
Ann was grand finalist in the Women in Technology Manager of the Year
2001 and Legalmart was also state finalist in 2001
Yellow Pages Small Business Ideas Award.
